Anna & Dylan
Nearly two years after Anna Eberle-Mayse met Dylan Whitaker, she thought she was being treated to a weekend getaway in St. Louis. Dylan had bigger plans. After a day at a St. Louis Cardinals game, Dylan and Anna, along with their parents, siblings and friends, met at Frazer’s Brown Bag, Anna’s favorite restaurant. When the waiter presented Anna with a bottle of wine and asked her to review the label, it read, “Marry Me?” Dylan presented the ring and all the patrons cheered. A year later, Dylan and Anna got married at Touch Restaurant. “We’re not real formal people,” Anna says. “We wanted it to be more party than ceremony.” Touch provided the perfect backdrop for both. Passed appetizers and champagne greeted arriving guests. The ceremony took place on the staircase, and then Touch’s staff turned the room around for party central. Guests were treated to an elegant buffet while drinks fl owed and guests danced the night away. Anna brought the house down, and surprised Dylan, by rapping “Whatta Man” by Salt-N-Pepa. Late in the evening, City Dogs brought its hot dog cart in and treated guests to a late night snack. “We wanted a party to remember and I think we succeeded,” Dylan says.
