Searching for your golfing or lakeside getaway just got a lot more fun.

Lake season is upon us, and if you’ve ever dreamed about that weekend getaway place or a place to permanently get away, have we got a deal for you… and, if you’re lucky… $5,000! Do we have your attention? More on that in a minute.

ALERT! THIS IS NOT A TIMESHARE PROMOTION. Just wanted to get that out of the way in case you were wondering.

The Live Where You Play Home & Land Tour, presented by 417 Magazine and Metropolitan National Bank, takes place over two weekends this month: May 10–11 and May 17–18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. We’ve wrapped up the newest and best developments around Lake Taneycomo and Table Rock Lake and tied them with a bow.

Fourteen developments and one luxury home are on the tour. Want the action side of the lake or the quiet side? Want a maintenance-free condo? Want a maintenance-free condo built around a state-of-the-art water park? How about a custom-built, luxury home in a gated community? Would you like that with a golf course view? Or maybe a simple cabin getaway? Whatever floats your boat can be found on the Home & Land Tour.

To make your search super-easy, we’ve provided a 32-page pull-out guide between pages 80 and 81 with an easy-to-follow map, so you don’t miss a single thing. The Live Where You Play guide has descriptions of each development, so you can customize your tour to find just the right place for you and your family.

As if driving around the lakes on a beautiful spring weekend dreaming about your dream home isn’t enough, we’ve sweetened the deal. At each participating development, you can fill out an entry form and drop it in a collection box. At the end of the tour, we’ll draw a name. If that name is yours, and you decide to purchase a lot, condo or home from one of the tour sites, we’ll give you a $5,000 credit toward your purchase. Official rules are in the pull-out guide and on 417mag.com. Seriously, if you’re even remotely thinking about lake property, this is the time to look. Who else is going to give you a $5,000 credit toward your purchase? Your grandmother? I think not.

And, the goodies don’t stop there. Many of the developments are offering additional incentives. For instance, if Briarwood on Lake Taneycomo suits your fancy, qualified buyers can get a boat-slip lease and association dues free for the rest of the year and a free fishing or pontoon boat. Repeat. A free boat. Pinnacle Shores is offering pre-construction bonuses ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. More incentives are outlined in the Live Where You Play guide. Plus, new things were still being added at press time, so go to 417mag.com for updates.
