Sara & Robert
September 18, 2009; Samuel Cedars, Rogersville
Bride Sara House was sitting on groom Robert (Bobby) Barrett’s doorstep the first time the couple met. “I was sitting outside of a local coffee shop with my best friend drinking coffee, and Bobby happened to be living in the lofts above the coffee shop,” she says. Bobby came home from massage school that day, and he talked to Sara and her friend for a few minutes. After he went up to his loft, he came back downstairs and talked with the girls more, and they all spent the day together. “He and I have spent every day together since then,” Sara says.
Bobby proposed in Jordan Valley Park on a cold February day. “I saw three of my best friends sneaking over to us, one with a video camera and one taking pictures. Bobby then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him—to which of course I said yes,” Sara says.
The two were married outdoors at Samuel Cedars in Rogersville. The bride’s best friend, Julia Cross, was her maid of honor, and her friend and co-worker Loni Brewer and sister-in-law Tamara Belcher were her bridesmaids. David Markley, the groom’s best friend and future brother-in-law, was Bobby’s best man. His friend
Nathan Lee and brother-in-law Nolan House were the groomsmen. Wedding guests enjoyed a finger food buffet, cake and an evening of dancing.
