Kayla and Cameron
Kayla Pool and Cameron Jones July 26, 2008, Mansfield First Assembly of God
Bride Kayla Pool and groom Cameron Jones met while attending Evangel University. With the help of the bride’s roommates, Cameron spread roses and candles all over her house and surprised Kayla with a homemade dinner to greet her when she came home from work one evening. After dinner, Cameron proposed and whisked Kayla to a surprise engagement party with her immediate family.
The two exchanged vows at the Mansfield First Assembly of God with the Rev. Milton Pool (Kayla’s uncle) and the Rev. Ernest Jones (Cameron’s grandfather) officiating. The maid of honor was Kayla’s sister, Lacy Martin, and the best man was Cameron’s brother, Ryan Jones. The bridesmaids were Kayla’s friends Stephanie Lansdown, Ashley Weaver and Savannah Waszczuk. The groomsmen were friends Jon Barratt and Jeffrey Puttman, and brother-in-law Jake Martin.
Guests enjoyed a meal of sliced beef sirloin, baked potatoes, vegetables and bread. Kayla’s dress was selected at Normans Bridal & Jewelry Shoppe. The Thicket provided the flowers, and Jenny Piland made the three-tier black and white wedding cake.
The couple honeymooned in Acapulco, Mexico. Kayla works as an advertising account executive and Cameron is a law student. The two now live in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with hopes of returning to Springfield after Cameron graduates from law school.
