Natalie & Frank

Natalie Nunn was at an Evangel University basketball game during her freshman year of college when her husband-to-be, Frank Tristan, first saw her and thought she was cute. Mutual friends introduced the two years later at a church event. The couple enjoyed their first official date at the Branson Landing in June 2007, just two weeks before Frank moved to Texas for a high school coaching job.
The two spent a lot of time traveling and talking on the phone to maintain their long-distance relationship over the next year. On one of Frank’s first visits home, the two attended the Ozark Empire Fair. “That was the night we really fell in love and knew it was real,” Natalie says. Frank proposed on the next Christmas Eve, and he moved back to Springfield the following summer. The two were married on August 1, 2008. The ceremony was at Hope Community Church, and an outdoor reception took place on the church’s lawn.
Olivia DeVizia was Natalie’s maid-of-honor, and Stacy Shore, Stephanie Ezard, Haley Wester, Rebecca Simms and Amy Presley were her bridesmaids. Frank’s best man was Adam DeVizia, and Luke Evans, Marc Dobberstein, Kendall Hatley, Nathan Fulks and Scott Obremski were his groomsmen. The couple had an evening wedding after dinner time, so they chose to have desserts rather than a meal. The couple also had cupcakes instead of traditional wedding cake. After the reception, the couple had some of their wedding photos taken at the Ozark Empire Fair, just one year after they fell in love there.
