Melissa & Billy

The first time Billy Kimmons laid his eyes on Melissa Maroney was at Maria’s Mexican restaurant. The two were complete strangers, but they each noticed the other that October night. The next morning, a mutual friend introduced the two using the social networking website Facebook.
Billy and Melissa shared their first date on a warm fall evening a week later. Dinner was take-out from Bruno’s Italian restaurant, and they enjoyed the pasta as they sat on a blanket and talked in Jordan Valley Park.
There were many more dates and, on December 30, Billy decided it was time to pop the question. To do so, he took Melissa back to where it all started: The couple shared dinner at Maria’s Mexican restaurant, and afterwards they walked through Jordan Valley Park to look at the Christmas lights. Billy secretly had a friend set up a heart-shaped luminary amid the lights. In the middle was a small square box. Obviously, she said yes.
As a reflection of the couple’s personalities, they chose to have their ceremony and reception in a fun venue—the Discovery Center, and they planned a fun agenda. The wedding was themed around Melissa’s favorite design—polka dots. They ordered Jones soda bottles with their engagement pictures on the label for the toast, and they had some of their favorite foods, pizza from Old Chicago and Andy’s Frozen Custard, for food.
Abby Shivers, Amy Lea and Jennifer Bingham were the bridesmaids, and Andy Gott, Matt Battaglia and Louis Krenn were the groomsmen.
