Food For Thought

By Ashley Reh

Ryan Tiller, president of DBD Gourmet Incorporated, helped us gather information on four of the most-popular wedding reception dinner styles, and he shared what trends 417-land brides are incorporating into their wedding’s meal. Check them out.

Sit-Down Dinner

Ideal For: Couples with a higher budget interested in a more formal event.
Dinner Details: With sit-down dinners, guests generally stay at their tables. There’s not much movement in the room. Meal options include steaks and seafood, which are plated to perfection. Presentation is most often key at sit-down dinners. And although this is traditionally the choice at more formal weddings, Tiller says he has recently seen formal meals followed by casual receptions. “There’s really no rule with what you can use where,” Tiller says.
