Annie & Darin
Annie was a supervisor at Dixie Stampede, and she met Darin when he started working there as one of her employees. Darin asked Annie on a date, but she had to turn him down; she wasn’t allowed to date her employees. Eventually, Annie agreed to call their outing a “nondate” and the couple went out and had a great time. They have been constant companions ever since.
The couple always enjoyed hiking, and one morning Darin told Annie they were going on a hike to their favorite spot, a rock that overlooks Lake Taneycomo. After standing there taking in the gorgeous view, Annie turned around to see Darin on one knee. He proposed, and she said yes.
The couple was married on December 20, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Kimberling City. The bride wore a white satin corset gown with red detailing, and a veil made from her mother’s veil. The reception was a fi lled with food, dancing and conversation. The bride’s best friend, Jamie Kyle, was the maid of honor, and her friend Ashley Gilchrist and sister-in-law Ann Sullivan were the bridesmaids. The groom’s brother-in-law, Pat Jones, was the best man, and his brother-in-law Nick Lewis and friend Austin Moster were the groomsmen.
